The fourth quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 Tools apps on the Android platform in Ireland. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's a closer look at the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps.

QR & Barcode Scanner experienced a significant peak in weekly downloads, reaching approximately 15.8K in the week of December 20. Other weeks saw downloads ranging between 3.7K to 6.3K. Active users fluctuated around the 26K to 28K mark for most of the quarter, with a peak at 38.8K in the same week of December 20.

Samsung Smart Switch Mobile saw a sharp increase in weekly downloads in the week of December 20, peaking at around 42.8K. The rest of the quarter had downloads ranging from 1.5K to 2.3K. Active users spiked to 89.9K in the same week, following a downward trend from 25.9K at the start of the quarter to around 15.4K by mid-December.

Move to iOS downloads remained relatively stable, mostly between 1K and 1.3K, but surged to 16.3K in the week of December 20. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 32.7K in the same week, up from around 3.3K at the start of the quarter.

Phone Cleaner: Virus Clean had a steady decline in weekly downloads from approximately 3.6K at the start of the quarter to zero by the end of December. Active users showed a more stable trend, hovering around 12.7K, with a slight dip to 11.5K in the week of December 20.

My Sky | TV, Broadband, Mobile also saw a spike in weekly downloads in the week of December 20, reaching around 2.6K. Other weeks ranged from 815 to 1.7K. Active users fluctuated between 7K to 8.5K for most of the quarter, peaking at 10.1K in the same week of December 20.
